Lady Liberty

"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Flat Anne and flat Brayden are always looking for an adventure to take. Saturday, they decided to pay homage  lady liberty herself. They packed a picnic, and headed out on their patriotic adventure. As they arrived, they took a moment to stop and think about what the Statue of Liberty really means. They talked about freedom for a while, and then they got really hungry. They feasted on flatbread sandwiches as they admired the flaming torch that symbolizes our countries freedom!
After leaving Liberty Park, they couldn't help themselves, and flat Brayden treated flat Anne to a hot fudge sunday, to celebrate their upcoming nuptials. They felt pretty guilty for eating all day, and decided to take a nice long walk. The Flats had to cut their walk short, when they were almost attacked by a dog. I don't know why, but dogs just aren't very fond of the Flats. Until next time, stay flat!!

Going to the Chapel

There certainly is love in the air these days. I guess there is no other way to say it..... he liked what he saw, so he put a ring on it! Yes, you heard right. Flat Anne and flat Brayden are heading to the chapel of love July 13! It was August 24, 2012 to be exact, when flat Anne and flat Brayden set off for a nice romantic dinner at a local eatery called 5. They dined al fresco and enjoyed a scrumptious serving shrimp queso, a very overdone yet very cheesy hamburger, and a delectable basket of panko shrimp. After leaving dinner, they went on a scenic drive through the not so very flat kingdom of mountain brook, until they reached the most beautiful spot that overlooked their magical city. Unbeknownst to flat Anne, flat Brayden had a little something up his sleeve... no really he actually did. As they were leaving the magical garden that over looks the city, flat Brayden fell to his flat little knee, and said the words that every flat girl dreams of her whole life..... "will you be my flat wife"!! Flat Anne was beside herself and could hardly breath... amongst the excitement and emotion, she found it within her to shout YES!!! The newly engaged flat couple scurried back to where their families were waiting, and enjoyed a very rare delicacy.... dairy queen ice cream cake.
The celebration continued the next night, as flat Anne's family made the journey from a far away flat land known as Montgomery, AL. The families came together and celebrated by feasting and eating more cake. This time the cake was more of an actual delicacy since it came from Olexa's, and trust me it is the best cake you will ever put in your mouth! The flat couple is joyous and so very excited about their upcoming nuptials, and want everyone to know that gift cards are welcome.... just kidding, but really, they are welcome.
