Auntie Lauren's House
This week, flat Anne and flat Brayden went for a short spend the night visit to their aunt Lauren's house. She has a beautiful home in Ross Bridge, and the flats love to go visit her whenever they can! Flat Anne and flat Brayden had so much fun playing with their cousin Charlie, who is pictured above. Charlie likes to play tag, and sometimes he gets a little rowdy and Lauren has to remind him not to eat his cousins. While they were visiting Charlie and Aunt Lauren, they went for an afternoon treat to Steel City Pops. Flat Anne enjoyed a coffee pop, while flat Brayden went for the jalapeƱo pineapple pop. Let's just say that flat Brayden was wanting some water after that spicy pop!
Aunt Lauren made the flats a flat feast! She was thoughtful and kept the food as flat as she could! She made pork chops, and even beat them out so that they would be flat! They were the best pork chops that the flats have ever had!! For dessert, aunt Lauren made them a cookie cake. Aunt Lauren's house was the most flat fun that they have had all week!!

Romantic Walk
This is a video of flat Anne and flat Brayden as they take a romantic stroll through there neighborhood this afternoon. They are eagerly awaiting the Alabama game that is on Saturday. Flat Brayden knows he will be eating a lot of yummy food at the tailgate this weekend and thought it would be a good idea to get a little pre game exercise!

Flat and Flakey
As mentioned before, the flats really enjoy exploring the magic city. Yesterday, the flats called up a few of their closest friends to go visit the Golden Flake factory in downtown Birmingham. Upon arriving, the flats and their friends had to remove all jewelry, which flat Anne was not to happy about. They entered the factory and were escorted into a viewing room, where they enjoyed a ten minute short film on the history and production of Golden Flake products. Flat Brayden got a little restless during the video, because all he could think about was the hot potato chips!
Finally, the Flats and their friends got to go behind the scenes, and see how chips are made. Flat Anne had to remind flat Brayden to be careful and not to stick his fingers in the chips, because they might confuse him for a chip since he's so flat. All was well with the world, when flat Brayden got to scoop up a handful of fresh hot potato chips, his hands are still a little greasy if you ask me! All in all, it was another successful adventure, and everyone left the factory full of potato chips and cheese puffs!
Roll Tide
I don't know if I have mentioned it before, but the flats are avid Alabama fans. This weekend, flat Anne and flat Brayden headed to "Gods Country" aka Tuscaloosa, AL, for some tailgating and football. They left Birmingham around 8:30. Flat Brayden was a little frustrated because he wanted to leave at 8:00, but flat Anne's hair was just a little too flat (she likes volume). As they headed towards Tuscaloosa on 459, the flats got ready for the game by watching a dvd with all of the highlights of last years season. Upon arriving in Tuscaloosa, the flats made their weekly stop at their favorite retail store, and flat Brayden's old workplace, The Locker Room. After looking around and visiting with old co-workers, flat Brayden and flat Anne found a few items they just couldn't live without.
After leaving The Locker Room, the flats headed towards the nearest Publix, to pick up some hot fried chicken for their tailgate. After much walking, and sweating, the flats finally arrived at the tailgate. They ate chicken fingers and flat bread sandwiches, and enjoyed visiting with their family and friends. It was a long day, but they had so much fun cheering on the crimson tide! Until next time.... stay flat and roll tide! (Updated on Sept 19)
